That’s a tilde ~ character.
To replace a tilde (or a wildcard character, a question mark ? and asterisk *) you will have to use another tilde to tell Excel you aren’t trying to use wildcard characters in Find and Replace.
Type
~~ in order to replace ~
~? in order to replace ?
~~ in order to replace ~
